Record mortality and its follow-up
Mortality is a number an auditor and a vet both care about — but the response matters more than the count. Here's how to log it fast and let Provamar prompt the follow-up when something looks off.
Log it against the batch
- From the daily round or the Mortality screen, record the number of deaths for the batch and, if you know it, a suspected cause.
- It comes straight off the batch's live count, so your stock numbers and biomass stay honest.
- Attach a photo if there's anything worth showing a vet later.
When a count spikes
Provamar watches the rolling baseline and raises a follow-up when today's deaths jump above it — and flags it harder if a water reading was also out of range at the same time. Record what you did and who you contacted. For anything that looks like disease or a welfare risk, contact a vet or qualified professional — the app records the event; it does not diagnose it.
