Connecting a sensor logs readings on their own. Setting thresholds is what turns those readings into a warning: give each value a safe range once, and the moment a reading falls outside it, Provamar raises an action for you — no watching a dashboard.
Set a safe range per reading
- In Sensors, open thresholds and pick the reading (temperature, oxygen, pH…).
- Enter the low and high limits for your species and system.
- Save. From then on, every incoming reading is checked against it.
- A reading outside the range raises an action on your home list automatically.
Why this is the real time-saver
Manual rounds tell you a value was wrong hours after it happened. A threshold flips it around — the system watches every reading and only interrupts you when something needs a decision. That's less checking, not more: you set the range once and get told when it matters. The limits you enter are your operational choice — set them to your own species, stocking and local guidance, and treat the alert as a prompt to look, not a diagnosis.
